ITA/ L’ex Hotel delle Terme di Castellammare di Stabia fu un quattro stelle operativo tra il 1972 e il 2007, con bar, ristorante, piscina e circa un centinaio di camere. In passato, Castellammare era conosciuta come “città delle acque”, grazie alle sue sorgenti termali note sin dall’Antichità e alle cure termali intraprese già in epoca borbonica (dal 1836 in avanti).
Oggi la struttura è ormai dismessa, e riflette una tensione tra bellezza e decadenza: un redolente residuo del fascino termale, restituito come traccia da abitare con lo sguardo.

ENG/ The former Hotel delle Terme in Castellammare di Stabia was a four-star establishment operating between 1972 and 2007, featuring a bar, restaurant, swimming pool, and around one hundred rooms. In the past, Castellammare was known as the “city of waters,” thanks to its thermal springs celebrated since Antiquity and to the spa treatments introduced during the Bourbon era (from 1836 onwards).
Today, the building lies abandoned, embodying a tension between beauty and decay – a lingering remnant of its thermal splendour, preserved as a trace to be inhabited by the gaze.
